• Equine assisted learning (EAL) is a solution focused therapy which can be used as an adjunct to, or independently from, evidence based psychotherapies. EAL provides experiential based learning opportunities to meet personal and therapeutic needs. Based on the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association model (EAGALA, n.d., para. 1-3), horses provide powerful opportunities to develop social and communication skills necessary for healthy, meaningful relationships.
